The Rush Junky Project
def. Rush Junky (n.): A Rush Junky is someone who is addicted to the adrenalin rush of seeking thrills, as in He is a Rush Junky who races motorcycles for fun.
When was the last time you saw a real car movie?
The Rush Junk Project is currently two feature length, 90 minute movies: Rush Junkys and Real Rush Junkys
Rush Junkys is a movie about a kid, Trent, from the south who moves to an upper class northern neighborhood where all the kids seem to have money, nice cars and a penchant for risk taking. Falling into the drag racing, drinking, gun shooting, partying crowd, Trent discovers a new wilder life.
Without much money, Trent builds a wild, supercharged 1968 Camaro to compete and join the Rush Junkys group. With real street racing and an unexpected ending, Rush Junkys is a fun movie. The alternate soundtrack can be a great drinking game if you can keep up with the director, editor and producer discussing the movie.
Real Rush Junkys is a docu-feature weaving both the movie and the making of the movie together into a hilarious, true account of what actually happened.
Watch the car fires, dodging the cops, staging the stunts on unsecured public roads, housing the actors in a low cost, unheated cabin and the midnight partying. This is the sort of movie you can only make once in your life!
